Ron Got Muttoned
Ok. This will not be as funny as compared to if you hear it first hand from me (or the victim, Ron). Mwahahaha
Anyway, 98.7fm’s "Muttons in the Morning" has this segment where you need to prank call your fren (DIY style) and if you do it successfully, you will win a free phone. I’ve been listening to it for some time now and thought how fun it would be to prank call Ron and even better to win a phone lah. hahha.. So i was just waiting for the moment.
Over the weekend, Ron got his official first pay cheque and was very happy about it. Treated me to a great German lunch and all lah. Yum yum! At the end of the day (like we do most of the time), we calculate our expenses just to ensure that everything is in order.
So anyway, he passed me his atm card to go withdraw some money to put into my account to do some internet banking and all lah. It so happen, this morning, on the way to work, the Muttons called for anyone interested to prank their frens to sms in. First time i hear the call for SMS wor, so i decided, ok, today i shall try to ‘mutton’ Ron by telling him that all his hard earned cash somehow was gone.
Wah, i got picked leh. They called me, we discussed strategy and soon i was on the air. They called Ron. Convo something like that lah (try to imagine me in my really desperate, angry voice)
Ron: Hello
Ming: Hello, where are u?
Ron: Still at home. Why?
Ming: U know u asked me to withdraw the money right?
Ron: Yea, why? (kancheong sounding a lil)
Ming: I wanna ask u ah, did u spend on anything that i didn’t know of over the weekend?
Ron: No ah, why?
Ming: I can’t draw your money out.
Ron: HUH? What you mean?
Ming: There’s no more money in your account. Are u sure u didn’t spend on something i didn’t know of? (Sounding Angry)
Ron: HUH? U gotta be kidding!!! What did they say when u couldn’t draw the money?
Ming: Well, u know when u just put in the card then put in the amount u wanna draw? So they said cannot draw lah. So i went to the account balance and found out you were left with $18! WHAT did u do with the cash? (Angrier now)
Ron: HUH? WALAU EH. NO ah. I din do anything! How come? U gotta be kidding!!!!! WALAU EH (no expletives, dun worry.. heng ah!)
Ming: After i left on Friday night, did you spend on ANYTHING or not?
Ron: No leh. I Swear! I dunno wat happened (Panicking a lot now!)
Muttons: But you promised to buy me a diamond ring mah
Ron: No ah……
(Laughter)
Ron: Who’s this????
Muttons: Ron, we are the Muttons. U are on radio!
(Laughter)
Ron: It’s NOT funny!
(Laughter continues)
Ron: It’s NOT funny! I’m never ever gonna listen to 98.7fm or the radio ever again! I’m not gonna eat mutton or lamb!
(Laughter continues)
Muttons: Ron, you win a Motorola Slvr phone!
Ron: Woohoo. (now happy!)
